Code for Entertainment Rate?

Does anyone know the online booking code for the Entertainment Rate?
I assume that the Entertainment Rate still earns points. Is that correct?

NPR (Nationwide Promotional Rate, IIRC) will display the Entertainment rate, if it's offered. Yes, they earn not only points but also status nights.

ENT

but I haven't found many hotels accepting it lately.
Many of the old codes seem defunct.
But yes, you would earn points on an ENT stay.

npr promo rate turns up other rates

hi all,

pertaining to previous postings, i did a search for entertainment rates on marriot website.

The strange thing i encountered is when i entered NPR in the promotional rate box for melbourne, sydney in Australia and san francisco in USA.

The entertainment rate did not show up. which is logically explainable.

The thing is i encountered a rate that says "incentive stay worldwide" or somethign to that effect with no prices at all. There is a note that says do not confirm with guest.

With the search function down, would any Fter know what its all about???

cheers

Thanks for the suggestion but when I tried it it displayed a
"VIP ATLHETIC RATE "
"THIS RATE IS OFFERED TO VALID CARD HOLDING MEMBERS OF MARRIOTT'S V.I.P. ATHLETIC PROGRAM"
and the AAA rate but no entertainment rate.
Does anyone know how one becomes a card hold member of Marriott's V.I.P. Athletic Program?

Entertainment rate is just one of the rates that assigned to the NPR code. Keep in mind that it will be shown IF the rate is available for the dates requested.

Okay, Thanks. Will keep trying it. And I too was also seeing strange things like "award night" "do not confirm with guests. Zany!

Thanks for the tip! I was able to get a rate of $105 at the IAH Airport Marriott for a weekday ... convenient for a quick layover (arrive at 10pm, leave at 6am) Best rates I could find otherwise were considerably more.
