MEO Offer?
Looking through my history on the Marriott website, I came across this during one of my stays:

* BASE EARNINGS - 1,892
* 30% ELITE MEMBERSHIP BONUS - 568
* MYSTIC MARRIOTT NOV MEO OFFER - 500
* TOTAL - 2,960
What is the MEO Offer? It appears to yield an additional 500 marriott points.
The stay was 1 award room and 1 paid room on New Year's day.

I'd venture to say this fell under a "Member Exclusive Offer" (usually included in your paper statement), although I have the October 2004 MEO list (last one I've received) and this particular offer doesn't appear.

Just found this listed on the Marriott Rewards Specials and Packages page for CT:
The Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa offers a terrific weekend rate of $149 per night (Fridays and Sundays) PLUS you'll receive 500 bonus points per stay now through January 31, 2005.

Well, I paid 9$...everyone else paid 30$
As a side note...That's a very nice hotel...
Very close to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and Mystic
They put us on the concierge floor, gave us 2 half-bottles of merlot + cheese and toast and treated us very well.
The beds were outstanding. For the amount of sleep I got I felt as if I slept for weeks and was not a bit tired the next day.
