I'm a MR newbie but have a question regarding rooms booked through opaque sites. Do Marriott branded hotels recognize your MR status? (Did a search and couldn't find anything about this.)

We've also always received the appropriate elite room keys/jackets and our status has been recognized as noted in our folio.
Just don't expect stay credit or room rate points, and mums the word if you do. I wouldn't post it here, personally.
