German Courtyard

I stayed in a German Courtyard near the Frankfurt airport the other night with my family... I had just been at the Munich Marriott the previous 3 nights.... what a comedown... The beds were lousy and they didn't have the Courtyard ammenities I expected... I guess a Courtyard by name not American style though.. A German business hotel but very expensive... I must remember to never stay at less than 4 or 5 star again in Europe... I'm spoiled by our hotels here in USA even the cheaper ones like HI Express.. Maybe that's just Germany... Anyone else have an opinion????

Was it the Courtyard FRA Messe? Some other reviews here:

Generally, the Courtyards I've been at in Europe, like CourtYard AMS, very much impressed me with their standards, rates, etc.

If it was the FRA Messe, very disappointed too. Tried some in the UK as well.

I agree that this Courtyard is sub par notwithstanding the excellent breakfast. Location is also terrible. Marriott, 2 km away, is a far better choice and it is located directly across from the Messe and has one of the better executive lounges in Europe. Weekend rates are not that much higher than the Courtyard.
