No

I have been travelling for 20 years and I have never heard of anyone stealing anything from a hotel or an airline.

yup... except couple of things (eg blankets, towels and bathrbes) people voluntarily forgotten to return and couple of items (like shampoo, shower cap and soap) people thought they are theirs anyway

OK, I'll bite. Are you asking out of guilt at having walked off with a Marriott desk or phone or lamp?

And, just for the record, those little soaps are free.

I have a nice collection of Marriott slippers.

Most are still in plastic.

I watched tons of guest take beach towels back to their room at the JW Cancun on a recent stay. I'm sure alot of the towels found their way into guest luggage.

They were nice towels.

I have a sister who used to work for Marriott in Australia and said that they went to move a bed once, and realised that there was no carpet under the entire bed. Someone had literally cut the carpet under the bed and removed it - somehow - from the hotel.

Desperation if you ask me.

Not sure if a guest took this, but ...

I've never taken anything but if you can believe it, I stayed in a room once where the elbow pipe from the bathroom sink was missing. I couldn't help but wonder if one of the previous guests had taken it.

The slippers hold up well and are softer than the robes.

PS Dont take the robe, I think they will hit you for $75.00 and put a derogatory comment in your file.
