Lisbon Executive Lounge

Does anyone here have experience with the Executive Floor and Executive Lounge at the Lisbon Marriott?

I'll be spending a week there, and I'm trying to determine if the Executive Loung experience is worth paying more for.

Hot breakfast? Good breakfast?

Open all day with beverages and snacks?

Hot snacks in the evening?

Spacious? Cramped? Airy? Dreary?

Are the rooms themselves better/bigger on that floor?

Thanks in advance to any informed opinions....

We spent three nights there in mid-March '04. The breakfast is cold, but of high quality. Typical European fare.

There always seemed to be soft drinks and coffee/tea available during the off hours. I believe that there was also a selection of pastries.

We always returned to the hotel well after the dinner hour, so we did not experience the evening spread.

The lounge is on the top (14th ?) floor; it is well laid out and there is a good view of the older part of the city from the balcony. As with any lounge, if the club floors are heavily booked, the room can get crowded at peak hours.

Guest rooms are Ok; nicely furnished but on the small side. The floor plan appeared to be the same throughout the property. (It was formerly a Penta.)

One plus is that there is a Metro stop within a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Fast and convenient way to get around.

Enjoy!!
