Website Problems

Is it just me?

I try to go to www.marriott.com, get redirected to http://marriott.com/default.mi, and a 404 error message:

We can't locate the page you requested.

You may have received this message because we recently updated the links on the Marriott Web site.

I click on the "Please click here to go to Marriott.com" and get the same page/error

I click on Marriott Rewards and get directed to http://marriott.com/rewards/rewards.mi?WT_Ref=mi_header, and the same error

Hotel Directory gets me http://marriott.com/search/hotelDire...WT_Ref=mi_left and same error.

I see a pattern.....

And as long as I'm kvetching, when I do finally get to a page that can search for a hotel, I've been getting this popup for months:

Unable to verify the identity of go.vicinity.com as a trusted site.

Certificate details:
Issued to
go.vicinity.com
Microsoft
MapPoint Web Services

Issued by
Microsoft Secure Server Authority

hmmm, Microsoft issuing security certificates to themelves. Makes me feel safe.

No it's not a MS browser.

Looks like it is just me. I hop back and forth between my LAN connection and Sprint CDMA2000 connection through my phone and it works/doesn't work/works/doesn't work. Must be a firewall issue - odd.

I still have the certificate issue though. Anyone else see this?

Yesterday, I could not access my account as the page advised that they were updating the website.

I would not lose any sleep over it, it should be fixed for you sooner than you think.

Best regards,

NJ

I've had varying problems using marriott.com with Opera. I recently upgraded Opera and it got better. When I have probs, I usually just give up and open IE for it.

It worked this afternoon, but anything with "marriott.com" in it is now DOA for me.
