EEO Question for Socrates or others...

MODERATOR -- MADE AN ERROR -- PLEASE MOVE TO MARRIOTT FORUM!

Soc, et. al.,

Have any knowledge why the Renaissance two for 1 weekend night EEO this go around has an expiration of 4/15/04, while the Marriott has its twofer expiring just before Memorial Day?

I seem to recall that they both used to expire on the same day -- around Memorial Day, so why the difference this time?

Is Marriott actually developing Renaissance into a boutique brand and this would be a possible reason why? If so, then why the shorter expiration date, in any event?

Thanks.

Renaissance has for quit some time had their own team running the brand and often times they will have unique promotions for their brand alone...it's not a "boutique" brand per say but it does have a different market than Marriott Hotels & Resorts (personally prefer Renaissance hotels' style over most Marriott's)

Expiring Later

Just a point to note... these are winter certificates, and those used to expire in March, IIRC. I noticed that they went into April/May this year. I hope that this does not signify that there will be no spring certificates, and that they will have the similar long time of use.
