Marriott ebreaks
marriottemail.com Sign up to receive eBreaks® from Marriott - exclusively via email!
Marriott just started sending weekly emails like the airlines do to promote weekend deals. The rates look pretty decent...
Marriott's weekly eBreaks will give you the opportunity to save significantly on last-minute travel. Each week you'll be sent an email with offers on hotels throughout the US and Canada valid for the upcoming weekend - Thursday through Sunday (Friday or Saturday night required).

I've been getting these e-mails for quite a while now. Maybe they used to send them only to Platinum members? I don't recall doing anything special to receive them.

I was trying to figure out what was new too. Seems like the news came out a long time ago.

Too bad Marriott has added the onerous Saturday night required for Sunday night stays. This silliness has put me in the InterContinental's program more often than I would prefer (or forces me to drive the whole way home on Sunday during my weekend getaway roadtrips).
