Problems with getting correct rewards number into JW Marriott booking
I have an upcoming stay at the JW Marriott in Mexico City for my honeymoon. I have SPG Gold, which got me Marriott Gold, but my RC account is not showing gold status.
When I booked online through the Marriott system, it seems to have input my RC rewards number.
This trip is for my honeymoon, and were arriving late night from London, so I want to be sure the hotels system understands Im a Gold member so that they allocate a nice (hopefully upgraded) room.
Id emailed Marriott customer service, and they wrote confirming that my Gold status showed in the Marriott account and that theyd updated my JW Marriott reservation with my Marriott number. However, when I check the reservation, Im automatically brought to the RC Rewards site (with no status). When I try to change the RC Rewards # in the reservation to the Marriott one, Im confronted with an error message telling me to dial 888-236-2427. Ive been on hold for 20 minutes with no success in getting through to an agent.
When I log into my Marriott Rewards account, it shows Gold status, but no reservations.
What can I do to fix this?
