Are you sure your property even has enhanced internet? Also, you're not connecting to the lobby network, by any chance? It's a "_______-guest" SSID?

However, I did notice there's an option to un-enroll my devices, but it's not obvious. After connecting via One-Click with a different test device, it redirects to the main page. On that page in the top left corner there's a dark blue hyperlink against a black background that says "Remove this device." I tried clicking on that last night and it said my device had been removed from One-Click... although I continued to get Wi-Fi on that device for the rest of last night. I'll be back at this property in two weeks, and I'll be at a different Marriott property next week, so I'll update once I try at the new property. Thanks for your help Kenny! |
Update: The property I'm at this week does not have One-Click internet. Apparently they have no authentication... you just connect to the ResidenceInn-GUEST network and you're good to go. I'm not sure if I've seen a Marriott property like that before, but no complaints here :). I'll update my One-Click saga when I'm back in the Courtyard next week.

I'm back at the property this week and despite clicking on "Forget My Device" two weeks ago, all of my devices continue to be in One-Click. The URL for the "Forget My Device" link contains the MAC address of my devices, so that's confirmation they're using the MAC address for tracking. The Upgrade to Enhanced Internet link (http://internetupgrade.marriott.com/) still does not work, but this week instead of timing out it just keeps redirecting back to itself without giving me the option to upgrade. I went ahead and clicked on "Forget My Device" on all of my devices again this week, but I'm not optimistic that it'll make a difference when I'm back next week. If anything changes, I'll post an update.
Since I'll be at this property almost every week for the next year, I bought a TP-Link TL-WR802N router, and that seems to work extremely well. I'm able to connect the TL-WR802N to the Enhanced Internet (via Wi-Fi), and then connect all my devices via Wi-Fi to the TL-WR802N. If anyone reading this is wondering if they should enroll in One-Click, then my advice would be "If you want to use Enhanced Internet, do not enroll in One-Click." |

Not being able to get enhanced would not bother me too much on the phone, as I use my laptop for anything that would really require it. However, I also noticed at the last property that I could also not register it with the room, meaning I had to re-connect every day. |

Most of the properties I've been at are now on Ethostream. There are properties that use Ethostream that don't have enhanced speed internet (a handful of CY and RI properties I've been to), but the one-click internet has worked at them welcoming me back by name with a connect button. Even when the button is just "connect", when I've been redirected to the property page I've usually seen CONNECTED ENHANCED SPEEDin a grey box on the left side about halfway down the page, like the Springhill Suites property I was at this week. |
Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but I wanted to mention that one-click now connects you to premium access and you do not have to be staying at the property to connect.

Just FYI --
I met the vendor responsible for rolling out this "One Click Internet" as I was interested in the software behind it. https://www.elevensoftware.com/hospitality Ironically, it didn't work during my stay at a Marriott while meeting the vendor. |
But as another data point, my Amazon Fire Stick was re-recognized and I got Premium access on it automatically last week.

Guest wifi insists my name is Brian
Hi,
This week I noticed when I log into the guest wifi I get th splash screen below. Has happened at two CY and a FI this week,' Oddly, my name is not Brian, it is Mike, and I am a Ti member, not Gold. Any ideas why this keeps happening? What do I need to clear to resolve this?? I still log in, but have no idea why Marriot wifi assumes the info below.
