No more holds on partial points?

No more holds on partial points?
Anyone else getting an error when you don't have enough points to book a room? I have a feeling Marriott is discontinuing the option to hold a room when you're short on points.

I just tried a dummy reservation for a stay that I would be short on points for and I didn't have any issues with it going through.

Same here. No problem making a dummy reservation when short on points.

Thanks for checking. I'm going to give them a call and see what seems to be the issue.

It's not until July. I searched St Pancras and JW in London and always came back with an error. I called Marriott and they were able to hold St Pancras for me without points.
