How Common Are Posting Errors?
Moving over from Hyatt this year and generally enjoying my Marriott experience.
I've had two stay posting errors in my favor already. Both involve "extra" nights being credited for a stay. One actually credited as a separate stay with a moderately substantial quantity of points (about 5000) that were not earned. The other involved a two night stay crediting at three nights.
I'm wondering how common this is. I'm also wondering what peoples' experiences have been bringing these sorts of errors to Marriott's attention (which is what I am inclined to do).
Thanks!

Fairly common...especially in situations where there is rate with X,000 bonus points per night associated with a stay. Sometimes these rates show up when the hotel does intend them to and the hotel will try to fight it as a "mistake rate".

agree, fairly common on Int. stays. But an email (after 10 days) can correct the computer snafus.

I find posting errors to be very rare, whether in your favor or otherwise.
