Lounge access, staying on points
I'm Gold Elite (earned through stays & United partnership) and have some stays upcoming on points - two questions:
1.) Will I still have lounge access?
2.) Will I be eligible for upgrades?

2) Yes. However, even as a plat I rarely get an upgrade so expect nothing.

If your stay is a weekend and in a property catering to business, you might get lucky with an upgrade. Had a Presidential suite upgrade one time for a reward stay.

And I did reach out to Marriott and asked and they did confirm that I will get lounge access when staying on points.

Of course I trusted the advice here - I reached out to Marriott first, then posted the question here, figuring I'd get a better answer here (faster)... I thought about this after I sent the question to Marriott.
