Lifetime Status vs. current

So, searched for this, but it's kinda difficult to search for. Forgive me if it has been discussed.

I've been platinum for a few years. I have enough nights for Lifetime Silver but not enough points yet. But I'll probably hit that threshold sometime this year.

Knowing that for the next few years I'll probably have enough nights to stay platinum, I am *assuming* that my platinum status will supersede my Lifetime Silver.

Am I correct about that?

TIA

It would be a pretty cruel LT program, otherwise. It would in fact be right up there with the current promo going on that has people avoiding Marriott properties in droves...

lol - I have been Platinum since 2009 and am not staying at Marriott until April so that my crazy long/expensive stay in Osaka gets double points; I already had two long and expensive stays for my first 2 of 3 trips.
