Missing reward night

On Sunday the 8th I went to make a reservations using a bonus night I was awarded on May 11th. To my surprise it was not listed in my account. I called early Monday am to inquire about it. The agent told me that it had been used at the Ritz-Carlton in the Caymans. I last visited there in 2004 on a cruise. I was confused and told her that it was a Cat 1-5 certificate and that I was sure that the Ritz was not a Cat 5 property. She agreed and told me that it would be researched. On Wednesday am I called again and the agent told me that the certificate had been booked by the hotel to someone named Julian with my last name. I have never heard of anyone by that name and there are about by my quess about 100 males in the world with the same last name as mine. Anyway has anyone had this happen to them and what did Marriott do to rectify the situation.
