Arrival gift - The compensation
Hello
How do you get the $100 compensation ?
the marriott people now tell me that i have to get the cash before i check out , were in the terms can you see that ?

The compensation for the Elite Benefits Guarantee applies if you choose, but do not receive, the welcome snacks and beverage option upon arrival. The compensation does not apply when you opt for the Arrival Bonus points. Those points cannot be given until the stay is added to your Marriott Rewards account, which does not happen until after you check-out (the hotel must purchase those points for you and request that they be added).
The guaranteed compensation for not receiving other guaranteed Elite benefits only applies if you are still a registered guest at the hotel (meaning you have not yet checked out). It is necessary to address the matter with the hotel staff prior to check-out to qualify for the benefit in the future.

You don't actually have to get "paid" by check-out, but you have to make the request and start the process before you check-out.
From Marriott's Elite Benefits T&Cs: "If an Elite Member believes that compensation is due with respect to any aspect of the Elite Benefits Guarantee, he/she must request payment of the compensation while still a guest at the hotel, prior to checking out. Failure to request such payment prior to check out will result in a complete waiver of any right to receive such compensation."
