Same here in Germany, cannot load marriott.com/.de/.co.uk on either IE or Chrome...get the 500 error-message. For a company that large this outage that lasts for several hours now seem like a Business Continuity plan proven not to be working...:-)!

Only thing to remotely defend them is that it's a holiday in the US. But I understand Marriott is global and that anything but 99.999999 whatever % uptime is unsatisfactory.

No Luck
10:17 eat cannot get on the Marriott web site to change my
reservation for later this week. Also cannot check in for tuesday |
Looks like they've replaced the "Internal Server Error - Read" screen with a static message (image below). They've been saying over twitter that the website will be up in "a few hours" for the past 4 hours or so.
I wonder if something major happened behind the scenes that is taking awhile to resolve (like a DDoS attack, etc) or if it is simply a problem of getting enough high level IT staff into the office on a national holiday to figure out what went wrong. Had to actually call in to Marriott to book my room for tonight since I wanted to use a specific rate code. I can't remember the last time I made a hotel reservation directly with Marriott over the phone! http://i.imgur.com/YQUsPQj.png |

The website is back up as of 11:25 EST! It was down for more than 7 hours today, though. Think we will get a statement/press release as to what happened?
EDIT: Might have spoken too soon. It looks like they are in the process of putting it back online. Some parts of the website are loading slowly, while others crash back to the original error screen. EDIT 2: Looks like it is fully restored as of 11:55 EST. |

EDIT: 23:33 Eastern - now that I say that, I can't make a booking via the app and the website gives me an error. |

Wow! I'm staying at an Autograph property and haven't had any similar problems to either the room key or credit card issues. I guess this is a bit of a cautionary tale about the interconnectedness of things nowadays. I wonder how many years it will be before people are posting on flyertalk "I can't get my lights to turn on or my toilet to flush because Marriott's server is down!" :D:D:D

Anyone else having issues today? It won't take my login and it keeps spitting this at me:

Getting the same thing, just now.

Working fine for me with Chrome.
