Beijing Marriott Property
Hi All -
What Beijing property is best - JW Marriott Central or Renaissance Wangfujing?
- Booking with points - same cost.
- Platinum Status.
- Middle-aged travelers
What property is best for lounge? For attractions (Wangfujing seems very close)? Will also be visiting the Great Wall and using the West train station.

JW
Its close, IMO the new JW central, which has some trip reports on this Mrt forum. Truly great EL service, & subway line 4 & 2 are close for most of BJ & some of the BJ rail-stations.
-also some interesting shopping nearby in a connected mall to the JW. ( Sogo center)
-Oh, BTW i start a 3 week stay there on points this weekend.

Thanks for the note. Enjoy your adventure.
Is the view from Renaissance very good or no?

I do not know on the Renn views. The JW from the 19th floor (fitness center) has views to the west, south, & north. The view to the west has a neat view of an old BJ Hutong and on a clear day the mountains. The pool views on the 19th floor are to the north & the south. A good view of Beihai park to the north from either the pool or the 15th floor EL balcony.
