Carlsbad, CA Marriott Properties
Anyone have a good/bad review of the FFI, CY or RI in Carlsbad? They're all close in miles/dollars.

No experience, but w/ FFI you get 10pts & brekkie, CY 10pts & no brekkie & RI 5pts & brekkie.

All these properties are in or near business parks. If you have to stay at one of them, I would go for the RI, very quiet at night and some walkable eating choices for lunch.
Can you go a few miles farther south? There is a FS Marriott in Del Mar off the 5 freeway but right on the freeway so it could be noisy if you have a west facing room there.

It's a weekend stay (wedding) with the wife and 1 y/o. I'll probably use points. I'm trying to stay at one of those three because it's close to where the official wedding hotels are and where they shuttle will drop me off.

The Fairfield Inn is just a couple months old so rooms should be nice and rates do include breakfast.
The courtyard was redone a little while ago and rooms are in good shape.
I have not seen the residence inn in a long time. There is a food court with a bunch of restaurants that you can walk to across the street from here.

Prefer RI
I have stayed at both the Courtyard and the Residence Inn, and I definitely prefer the Residence Inn. In fact, it's one of the nicest RIs I've ever stayed at. Good service. Very attractive property.
