No Free Razor "Sharp Object and Dangerous"

This is a new one. Staying at the Marriott Philadelphia Downtown. Accidentally left my razor at home - called down to the front desk to ask if they had any complimentary disposable ones. I was told:

"We have a complimentary toiletry kit but it doesn't contain a razor because the blades are a sharp object and are dangerous. You would instead need to go visit our gift shop and buy one."

I don't know what Marriott's general policy with regard giving comp razors if you forget them at home but I have a hard time believing that safety is a reasonable reason not to have a cheap single-use razor, this isn't a prison. Especially if I can go buy one in the lobby shop that has the same "dangerous blades."

Just bizarre.

Mods feel free to move if there is a more appropriate home for this.

Seriously doubt that the lack of a razor has anything to do with any Marriott policy as this seems a one off so it's a hotel specific policy.

I don't bother to pack a razor, or toothbrush, always rely on the hotel to provide. That includes the Marriott Philly where I was over Halloween last year. It certainly wasn't viewed as a sharp or dangerous object then!

You must hate a decent shave and super-clean teeth.

They won't give you a razor for free due but they'll sell you one at their gift shop? Yeah, I totally buy that it's due to $$afety concern$$. Really, I do.
