Renaissance Internet Filter
I am staying at the Renaissance Waverly (ATL) and when I try to visit the Verizon website, I get an error. This is both on my laptop and my phone when connected to wifi. When I turn off the wifi on my phone, I am able to connect to the Verizon website and through the Verizon app.

I have ATT. Same happens to me for public wifi sights. I am sure the heels can explain it more. When at a sports event, I have to turn wifi off to connect to the public wifi on my phone. So not connected via wifi.
