Current megabonus question

Three nights short of 25000 bonus points. Existing megabonus promo expires Thursday. Can get a local property for $90/night on my own dime.
Worth it? Or not worth it?

Mostly not worth it. As a MR Plat you can ask to be re-assigned to a different Megabonus that would better fit your stay pattern, and still get some bonus points.

Thank you for the quick response. I will try calling MR tomorrow re: reassignment.

AFAIK you may be permitted to switch magabonus offers when/before you register, but changing after the registration deadline probably won't work. The bonus offer is supposed to provide incentives, not necessarily give you maximum points or free nights ex post.

$300 to earn 25,000 points? I wouldn't. I would invest the $300 rather than spend in on points which isn't enough to provide a free night at the upper category hotels.
