How to set newspaper preference?
Is there a way online to set newspaper preference in your profile?
Is there any charge? And if yes how much for the newspaper to be delivered to your doorstep?
Only at full service Marriotts I guess, right?
Earlier I used to get USA Today and Wall St. at my doorstep in the morning, but haven't been getting in past few years, and sometimes when I go downstairs to the lobby, they are out of newspapers.
Thanks in advance!

I think the official policy of delivering newspaper to your room ended a couple of years ago to save on costs. Some properties still do it, but more are going to the stack near the elevator or in the lobby. There used to be somewhere in your profile where you could specify type of newspaper. Not sure it's there any more & too lazy to log into my account to check.
Cheers.
Cheers.

When I want a newspaper delivered to the room I just mentioned it at check in. Normally it is not an issue.

I have tried having newspaper delivered to our room at a CY in Germany without charge. We got it once in Marriott Suites Scottdale and we got charged $1 for it.

Pretty sure it's still in play. I still get newspapers delivered at my door. There are some properties when I check in that ask it. Also, if I am placed on the Concierge floor I tend to see they leave it on the table at the elevator bank on that floor. They also tend to have them in the CL.
Personally, I don't like the concept of the paper and actually wish that Marriott would add a feature on their app that would allow us to read the daily newspaper that is able to indicate our status and if it should be free or not and go green.
Here is what it says on the Marriott page for the newspaper (bold is calling it out):
• Marriott’s Rewarding Welcome –This program allows Marriott employees to anticipate and deliver on Marriott Rewards members’ personal stay preferences. After entering their preferences online just once, member requests for extra towels, foam pillows, refrigerators or even a specific newspaper will be honored automatically at hotels globally, including Marriott Hotels, JW Marriott, Renaissance Hotels, Marriott Vacation Club, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott brands
Lastly, to answer the OP question, log in to your Marriott Account, Click My Account, Click Profile at the top. There is a section called Reservation Preference. Click edit and you can select your paper there.
There is a disclaimer that says it can vary by property though:
Weekday newspaper room delivery*
__USA Today
__The Wall Street Journal
__Local paper
__No delivery (complimentary in lobby)
*Availability varies by brand and location
