Extra Charge for Double Occupancy in Eastern Europe?
Was thinking about booking some stays for an upcoming trip in Eastern Europe (Prague, Budapest and Vienna - last one not really in Eastern Europe). The rates I am getting increase around 20% per night for 2 persons vs. 1 person. Is this common in Eastern Europe?

Yep using Marriott.com
Just realized that it might be our corporate code so time to call and ask hotel directly.

What hotel are you checking? Just checked write now the Marriotts in Budapest and Prague, they are both showing the same rates for 1 or 2 people (as they always do). Prague is priced in CZK and Budapest in EUR.

Boscolo Budapest, Autograph Collection
Marriott Budapest
Marriott Prague
I suspect it has to do with our corporate rate, which is funny since the rate details say its good for 2 persons but when I add a person it adds cost. I called the hotel and they said they didn't usually charge extra so they had no idea why it was doing that.
