I signed up today - rewards plus wants to see your social media data but does not post for you or to you. I "Liked" rewards plus on Facebook and found a reason to use one of their hash-tags on twitter and about two hours later received E-mails thanking me for my activity and advising points would be deposited in my account. ^

Now only if they gave me points for time on FT :D

Which pages did you like on FB? Those hotels pages on the list?

Can we a make a post with links to all participating hotel's Facebook pages and Twitter accounts?

how about a list of FB pages to like?

My account signed up properly, the wife's did not. She was originally miles, changed to points but still no go.

It mentions a max of 2k points every 30 days (and not per month). Will have to be careful there, would hate to have missed some due to being 1 day too early

This is probably a smart move by Marriott, but isn't it them essentially "paying" for positive reviews? "#LoveMarriottRewards" haha. Although I guess we'll see people using the hashtags and then complaining about something - wonder if they'll still get the points :-)

It also says you don't even have to stay at the specific properties to post about them. That seems kinda dumb...

The FB pages I liked:
Marriott, Marriott Rewards, Autograph Collection, and Renaissance Phoenix Downtown

Has anyone gotten credit for liking/following a specific property on Facebook or Twitter? It isn't clear to me if that action actually results in 250 points from the rules. Last night, I liked the main Marriott, Renaissance, and Autograph Collection accounts and got emails about all of those (points to be awarded in 7 days). But I also liked a few specific properties on the official list, but I have not gotten any emails indicating those would give me any points.

Also used hashtags on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Only got an email about Instagram. No credit yet for Twitter or Facebook.

Am I reading this correct? Can we simply like 8 properties and get 2,000 points?

The data mining is precisely WHY they are doing it too. I am one of the hold outs who refuses to have a Twitter or FB account. Unfortunately Google and Yahoo! pretty much have all of us pegged down to what you are thinking at this exact moment anyways. lol

I'm sure after posting this I'll start seeing ads for Twitter and FB in my surfing..... sad. You can run but can't hide.
