Marriott YUL sold out in December 2014?
I have an overnight layover in YUL December 27, 2014. When I started looking at flights I found rooms there, and now that I have booked (only a few days after AC tickets became available and 20 days after Marriott began accepting bookings) they say the hotel is completely sold out! I would expect it to be busy the weekend after Christmas, but not sold out this early. I would appreciate if anyone has any insight into this, and whether some sort of elite status could free up a room. Thanks!

Make your reservation & keep checking back. Odds are a room will open between now & late December. If you're a Plat & it's a paid stay you can do a Plat override. If it's an award stay that won't help.

I would try calling the property directly. It looks like the hotel is bookable all the way through December 25th 2014, but nothing after. So it is most likely that they haven't released any rates yet past Christmas.

Yes, I know I'm an idiot for not proactively booking an available room that could be cancelled later.
