ShopMarriott.com Comedy of Errors
Back on May 28th I ordered a Marriott mattress and box spring set. There was a Memorial Day sales going on with $600 off the list price. I ordered a queen set, paid fot ir with my Marriott Visa and was told it should arrive in 6 - 8 weeks.
On July 10, the representative from Hotels At Home called to advise the set was going to be delivered the next day. He went further to advise that someone had put a forklift blade thru the box springs. Nice. He said he was forced to bring it out and I would have to reject the shipment. The truck and two guys showed up and sure enough there was a huge hole in the box springs. I refused it.
I called ShopMarriott.com and explained the issue. I was told it could be four more weeks to get a new box springs. Yesterday I took receipt of my new box springs...yea....except there was no mattress on the truck. The delivery company shipped the mattress back to Jamison in the Nashville area after being allegedly told to hang on to it. I haven't been told when the mattress may or may not show up. I have been dealing with a supervisor who returns calls only occasionally. It could be that she's very busy calling other customers who've met the same circumstances I have.
There used to be a $300 delivery charge, now it's $99. Maybe I'm getting what I paid for.
I've explained to my contact that once I try out my 7" mattress I'll decide to either get the 7" or 9" Marriott bed in a king size. For my trouble so far ShopMarriott will take $200 off the king when/if I order it.
I'm just not sure I want to roll the dice with these knuckleheads again.
