Currently staying at the ATL Renaissance, I am staying in a club floor room via upgrade. I visited the lounge this evening, The lounge seems to have been redone recently, but is about half the size it used to be, with bare minimums when it comes to snacks in the evening.
Has anyone been noticing this at other locations? I have not stayed in a Renaissance in a while.

Is the the ATL REN Waverly? If so, yes - redone a few weeks ago, yes - not the spread it used to be and no - same size, they converted the "bar" to a serving area and added some fixed tables & seats so if anything its bigger.
And I paid $15 for a single drink containing Grey Goose...

The greatest reason to EVER stay here is the awesome night-guy. I forget his name now, but he is UNBELIEVABLE.
He always wears a different hat. And usually REMEMBERS his guests-even if it has been 4-5months since the last stay.
I once took him a hat from my local AAA baseball team (he has over 200 from guests IIRC). I went in one night for a super quick grab of waters, and didnt even say hello. Was the first time I was in there in about 4 months. The next night, I walk in, he has on the HAT! He says something to the effect of I saw you sneak in here and thought I would wear this! IMPRESSIVE.
If I had 15 people like him I could make any company profitable!!! ^
