Guys
I'm trying to understand the above statement on the reservation page using points. I have 17k points and need 20k room and chose this option. Does this mean the room was fully reserved for me and I have to go back and associated the points to this reservation before the stay or would this automatically happen? I should be getting 4k points added to my account from some credit card spend soon
[
Thanks

as I recall, you'll need to have the required points in your account about a week before the reservation starts or the resee will be CXLed.........
once you have earned/credited w the additional points you need, if the system does not automatically update and change the resee to "e-cert attached" just call MRs and they'll manually do it.......

The reason I asked if they are changing category is that you must call and oo it manually if they are, because the system will charge the new amount without human intervention.

Correct. I have asked MR on this because I currently hold a 5th night free reservation at a hotel its category would change. I am told that as long as I order the cert prior the stay (preferably 7 days in advance as it takes that long to process it or so they say.), they would honor the old category and attach the cert with old category points to the ressie. So yes, you would need to call MR to manually attach e-cert to the ressie if hotel changed category after May 15th.
