Has anyone else in the UK found bookings through this company appearing in their account? Just signedinto my account (I keep on top if it and check everyday, MOST of the time!) to find a booking for Glasgow Marriott for today's date booked through a booking agent called Hotelscene. Thankfully there were no credit card details, so I just assume they have rung and given a clients incorrect Marriott Reward number and it has appeared in my account.

Of course I have cancelled it, but a bit annoyed. If it had been a day when I just didn't bother looking at my account, I wouldn't have know. Thankfully I have a credit card that I use for hotel reservations that stubbornly refuses to pay a penny if I am not there to input my pin number.

Did the name on the reservation match your name?

If it's just a matter of the wrong MR number being input to the reservation, that's one thing, but if it was also made in your name, that may be more cause for concern.
