Marriott Gold benefit changed?

in the past, i remember that
marriott gold is only guaranteed for breakfast or lounge access during WEEKDAY,

right now, it does not mention the "weekday" any more,
https://www.marriott.com/rewards/member-benefits.mi

I didn't read the detailed terms and conditions though, is it mentioned as exception there?

does that mean that we have a valid clause to ask for compensation for those hotels which have lounge closed on weekends while not giving breakfast vouchers?

Guaranteed lounge access/breakfast

Available at participating JW Marriott hotels, Autograph Collection, Renaissance Hotels, and Marriott Hotels & Resorts (not available at resort locations).

Does not say anything about weekends. Odd.

Guaranteed Lounge Access/Free Breakfast
Help yourself to light snacks, beverages and complimentary continental breakfast in our Concierge/Executive/Club Lounge at participating JW Marriott Hotels, the Autograph Collection, Renaissance Hotels and Marriott Hotels & Resorts. If your hotel doesn’t have a Concierge/Executive/Club Lounge, we invite you to enjoy complimentary continental breakfast on your weekday stays.

Yes, but Vicki raises a point. It doesn't say that in the part she quoted from the link provided.

Typical Marriott - says something in one spot & not in another.

Cheers. Sharon

BKKLEE what is the link to the description you are quoting? Because when I click on benefits I get the one I quoted.

wouldn't consider it misleading since (1) the >> leads you to the details of gold benefits which state weekday and (2), by limiting your misleading to the page cited, anyone can notice that per this page, plats get no entitlements to lounge/breakfast because it's not listed, but is if you go to the >>..............

The format is "add to" so the benefits listed for Plat are inaddition to all those above. I didn't even realize each level was clickable to get more detail. Given all the footnotes already on the page, I'm surprised the weekeday thing isn't one of them.

agreed, the format is "add to", however notwithstanding the footnotes which do not state weekdays, the >> takes you to the complete list of benefits and they do state weekdays (and if it didn't I'd be the first to agree with the earier poster that it's misleading)........

Some properties allow access to the lounge on weekends, but don't have breakfast or evening hot snacks, just soft drinks and pretzels/peanuts etc.

Stayed at the Marriott Denver West last time and they gave me free breakfast in the restaurant because the lounge wasn't open.

It states in Sharon's Lounge thread that Denver West gives coupons on the weekends. Not really what this thread is about.

diagree as the topic of this thread was whether or not Marriott has changed the breakfast policy for Golds (and thus also for Plats) from weekdays to weekdays and weekends (in the US)........
now do you really don't expect the majority of FTs to refer to Sharon's sticky (although I rely on it and refer to it often - and once again thank her for her effort - as well as refer posters who could find the answer to their question already listed in Sharon's stcky) before posting???????
