Help me understand this room type
I need some help understanding the following:
MARRIOTT REWARDS*UPGRADE AT ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $30 USD PLUS 17PCT TAX PER RM PER NT** SEE FACTS**MAX 5**DELUXE OCEAN VIEW
If I book this room, am I actually using a certificate and spending the $30 per night to have the ocean view room? There are no quality rooms available even though they should have been in the computer today.
Socrates, is the Puerta Vallarta Marriott not releasing rooms for next March on Friday and Saturday nights? I've been monitoring availability on Sunday mornings for the last 3 weeks and they don't seem to have any available for Friday and Saturday nights in particular. When I look at alternative dates though Sunday through Thursday do show up.
Thanks for help in clarifying this reservation.

There are no REWARD quality rooms left. You could take the room and add 30 a night to the bill or use the anytime reward and spend way more points....

I know that there are no rewards rooms (none were released), but what is MARRIOTT REWARDS*UPGRADE for $30. Are you upgrading a paid room for $30 per night or upgrading a reward quality room?

Yes, you will give them your rewards cert for a quality room and they will upgrade your for 30.00 per night to a better, in your case, an ocean view room.
