Any feedback on properties in Danbury Connecticut? They have a Residence Inn and a Spring Hill Suites. I know they are pretty standard arrangemnents, but any comments on staff or the neighborhoods they are located in?

Danbury is a pretty quiet town. I wouldn't worry about the neighborhood. I don't know anything about staff but customer service here in CT is generally below other parts of the country.

The Residence Inn is across the street from the Danbury Fair Mall and near major highways to make travel easy. The Spring Hill is a little farther away from the mall and right off the Interstate. I would rather be near the mall than where the Spring Hill is but both neighborhoods are fine.

There is also a Courtyard with 10 points per dollar rather than 5.

Danbury has come along way since it burned by the British in 1777. See it here:

On a more serious note,
All the hotels are going to be pretty safe. The Courtyard is brand new but open long enough to get the bugs out. Not a particularly attractive property.
All the hotels have easy access to 84.
I forgot about the Springhill Suites I'll have to check that out. That was a new building.

the Danbury CY is a very comfortable place to stay. I am there 6-8 nights/month as my company HQ is a few miles away. Staff is awesome.

Completed my stay at the Residence Inn and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. At the complimentary breakfast, the hostess strolled around offering drink refills and warm greetings. As I checked out both the front desk and the same breakfast hostess thanked me for my business and asked me to return again soon. Very nice people. . .Sometimes its the little things

I stayed at the Springhill Suites in Danbury once...they are fairly new and typical of the brand. Decent.

I've stayed at the SpringHill Suites and the Courtyard but not the Residence Inn. The RI was actually much closer to my business location but the 5 pts/$ vs. 10 was a deal-breaker. Anyway, I'd recommend either hotel as satisfactory and would give the nod to the SpringHill as it's newer.
