Silver promotion

In 2002/2003 there was a promotion which offered for three paid stays between November 15th, 2002, and January 31st, 2003, Marriott Rewards silver status and two free weekend nights. Through this promotion, I became silver member. Now, I think I remember having read about the same promotion for the same period in 2003/2004. Can somebody confirm that?

What you may have seen is a reference to that promotion when you signed in to your MR account online. (Or you may have seen FT'ers talking about seeing it.) I was taken aback when I saw I was signed up for that promotion about a month ago - then I realized that it was a website glitch and the dates were 2002/2003, not 2003/2004. So no, I don't think Marriott is repeating the promotion.
