He and I both had 365+ nights in 2006 as we both had offices (rooms) in the same FS hotel.

Go figure?!

wow - I am sincerely shocked.....

Platinum Premier is the B-O-M-B

Tonite I'm at the Warner Center Marriott. A few minutes ago there was a knock at the door announcing room service. While I already scored dinner I made a quick call to the FD & yep, the AYS Mgr had a little something to show their thanks for staying 140+ nights last year.

I have this three-tiered thing with cheese, crackers, a hollowed out pineapple with mixed berries, melon balls, strawberries, blueberries, well you get the point. On the bottom are more strawberries and whipped cream with a strawberry glaze.

After I hit this thing hard I'm headed to marriott.com to book a few more nights.

Question ... do you think that's because of your lifetime Marriott credentials??

I'm only curious becuase last year i had 175 nights at Marriott and i've been 3 years platinum now.

Any hope of details to how you become a "Platinum Premier" ... i'm not a regular poster/reader, but the posts i read - i always thought that status was an urban legend.

nice work!

Premier is the top 1% or 2% of all Platinums. It's based on nights & total dollars generated. There is some formula, but no one I've talked to has spilled those beans.

I still need 375 nights & 800K+ points. By 2012 I'll have Lifetime Plat, but Premier blows Plat away.

This is my first stay this year w/o an upgrade to a suite.

The grapes on the three-tiered thingee are awesome.

Lifetime Platinum?

I'll go search for an explanation ... but how does one get that status?

I did, but I'm not a Platinum Premier . . . just a lowly Platinum. It was at the Marriott FS in Cambridge, MA, about 2 years ago. Suite was very impressive; room to entertain at least 50-60 people, baby grand piano, big fireplace.

I think it was the last room in the place that night.

Yeah, a few times, typically when checking in late for just one night. The most memorable was at the Marriott World Trade Center. Dining room, kitchen, fireplace, at least 2 bedrooms, seemed to be over half the floor. This was maybe a couple years before 9-11.

Hazmike Feb 25, 2008 8:54 pm

Lifetime Platinum is

1000 nights

12 years in MR

3M points

One year as a Plat by staying 75 nights

I got the Prez Suite two yrs ago in Rio at the JW Marriott, overlooking the Copacabana beach. There was a telescope in the living room. Way cool.

Yes, at the JW Marriott Dubai a few weeks ago. No cheeseball mellon things for this player - only the finest Arabian patries and treats delivered several times daily. The SS (the us secret service, not their Nazi counterparts) must have booked this suite for Dubya because "an employee" at the hotel told me he would be staying there in a couple of weeks and that it was top secret. Of course, who should show up in Dubai two weeks later? Chimpanzee Dimwit Bush himself. I don't know where he stayed - probably on a US warship in the Persian Gulf if he had any sense.

Where does one go to check out total nights stayed? Is it on the website?

Nice! Too bad they don't automatically post it. Would be far more convenient! Thank you!
