Double points with Visa question

I know this promotion ends on January 31st, so I'm wondering how it's going to affect my upcoming extended stay. I'm checking into a TS next week, and I won't be checking out until sometime in March. As points don't post until checkout, I'm trying to figure out if the system is smart enough to give me double points through Jan 31, or if I completely lose out because the promotion has already ended when I checkout.

On extended stays I usually check out and in every week or two just to keep the accounting of my expense report in order. If I was you, I'd check out on the 31st just to be safe. I don't think the computer (abacus?) that MR uses will pick up the points otherwise.

I just checked into a SpringHill Suites on an extended (open ended) stay and thought about just checking out on the 31st as well. My only question I need to ask the front desk is if that will cause me to be charged tax since it will be a stay under 30 days.

Yes you will most likely be charged tax, although this might be different in the state you will be in.
