Recently I've had a string of bad broadband experiences at various Marriot properties. The last experience really made me think about switching brands.
I really hope that Marriott gets the problems fixed, otherwise I'll have to follow another chain that has adequate broadband services.

I have had sporadic problems with STSN. I have the advantage of being a Systems Engineer so I have many network troubleshooting tools loaded on my laptop. More than once I have diagnosed a problem in a Marriott and helped them out. Once they even let me into their telco room so I could show them how to re-boot their router as their designated "tech guy" was on vacation and the entire hotel was down.
It's not always their fault however...last week four of us were in the Marriott Dulles. On of the guys was having a helluva time. On the phone with STSN, our IT department & the local Marriott guys. 3 hours later...no connection and a lot of finger pointing. Later that night I went to his roomto check it out, and guess what it was...the Blaster virus. It was messing around with his connection to the point it wasnt working.
Dont forget to check the obvious!
