Gift certs on MR Visa
I need to pre-pay some '04 expenses, so naturally my mind got going on how to maximize points.
Anyone have experience purchasing Marriott gift certs with the MR Visa? Curious if you get the bonus points for the purchase.
Gracias.

I have bought the Marriott Gift cert. using my Marriott Visa with no problems getting the MR Reward points. I don't think it really matters to Visa what you buy, you will get the points just the same.

Last year I only got 1 per $ on gift card, but was expecting 3 per $ as a Marriott purchase. Same thing happened with timeshare annual fee - was expecting 3 per $ on $900 MVCI, but got only 1 per $. The MR Visa card only flags 3 per $ for revenue spent at PROPERTIES.

I need to call every year after I pay my MVCI timeshare fee and they adjust the points to 3 points per $
