Need Help Getting a Reservation
I am PLT and I NEED a reservation at the Athens Ledra Marriott from Aug. 12-20th. I have called the PLT elite line and tried online and have not been able to obtain a reservation. Unfortunantly, the Olympics are the same time and I unable to find a room anywhere.
ANY IDEAS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

I am in the same situation, but for slightly later dates. The hotel appears to be sold out for the whole month of August, and the "normal" Platinum override is itself overridden! The only thing I haven't tried is calling the hotel directly, but I suspect that wouldn't work, either. My guess is that Olympics officials (or possibly athletes) booked the entire hotel long ago. Someone may be able to confirm that.

When all else fails, I've been fortunate to find lodging by contacting the hotel directly, either by fax or email.

Not quite as exciting as Athens, but having a similar problem with JW Marriott Las Vegas.
Planning a stay there 3 nites early Dec.--up until last week, lots of availability for my dates at rates ranging from $149 on up. Figure I had plenty of time!!... no such luck, suddenly no availablity and only a $879 suite showing for only one night 12/5 with nothing for the 6th & 7th. Any thoughts if they just pulled the rooms and hopefully may put them back???

That's amazing! They must have booked a large group for meetings. The JW LAS typically has been having a lot of trouble keeping the occupancy rate up. You usually can get some pretty cheap rates there. I recently paid $119/n on a holiday weekend.

The first week in Dec is the International Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas. You won't find a room anywhere.....
