Marriott Double Points Promotion

I am requesting some help interpreting the terms and conditions regarding the latest Marriott double points promotion. First of all, can I assume correctly that the first stay can be as little as one night at any rate? Secondly, if the second stay is a reward stay would one receive double points for incidentals?

One night is long enough to qualify for double on your next stay. As for the award stay... I don't think you will get ANY points, let alone double.

Can confirm the first part.
Split a three night stay between two hotels and recieved double on the second night (in a second hotel).
From T&C:
"Nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for double points"
But, Marriott system is sometime bad at catching this.
I will let you know after this weekend when I am doing a reward stay for the F1 in Indy.

Thanks for the feedback. I would not expect to receive any points for an award stay since it is in effect free, but have in the past received points plus elite status bonus points for incidentals such as restaurant expenditures. I expect to receive these points at the regular rate, but am hopeful that the double points apply, especially since most of my dining will be at a Marriott resort property for one week period.
