CDG Courtyard
Does anyone have any info on the resently opened Marriott Courtyard at CDG? We're staying there night before our return flight. The hotel "reads" well at the Marriott site and the picture looks nice. Any information would be appreciated.

Not much to say about it as I only spent a few hours there. It is brand new and is pleasant (rooms, restaurant, Internet access in the lobby). It is located far from the terminals but there is a shuttle to get from there to the hotel.(I don't know whether it is complementary, as I used my car and then, the first time around, it is not very easy to find).
Having also stayed at the Sheraton (which is located in the center of the Terminal 2 complex) and at the Hilton (which is located somewhere between Terminal 1 and 2), I would say it is one notch below, but that it is quite acceptable. My apologies if this sounds too vague.

As JOUY31 has said, really not much to say...we stayed there overnight en route to LHR in May. This hotel is just recently opened and the staff is very eager to please.
The usual "shaking-out" problems occurred, but nothing too major and nothing that could not be overcome (IMO).
The shuttle between hotel and CDG is complimentary, and both coming and going the drivers were pleasant and polite.
What I did not like is that in the hotel itself, the elevators run on a card key system (annoying if you have your hands full and are rolling along your roll-along suitcase!).
This hotel also has ice machines on every floor (near elevators), but lacked for utensils to access ice (I mentioned this to concierge and by the time I was leaving the next morning noticed that someone had placed a scoop at machine on my floor).
However, the manager on duty (whose name I don't remember) at the time we were there was both alert and helpful--stepped into conversation at front desk before I could get upset when check-in clerk tried to persuade me that I had reserved a smoking room and that he would not change to non-smoking "because the reservation says smoking". Also, the following morning at 5AM when there was no hot running water, same manager presented himself at the door of my room, apologized for the water situation and offered key to another room with hot water and a complimentary breakfast.
I don't remember noticing room decor so I guess it was pretty standard, but the room was quite large (by Euro stantards) and I was pretty comfortable. All in all, I had no real objections to staying here o/n, and would probably do it again.

Our reservation, a king with breakfast, is $120. We just went directly through Marriott. I saw on one of the discount web sites the CDG Hilton listed for $100, twins with breakfast.
I'm not familiar with the discount site, so I've, so far, just kept my reservation with Courtyard.

The shuttle was complementary only a few months ago! The shuttle service is certainly not worth 5 Euros.
I wonder when (and why) this policy changed?!?
