Never Ending Weekend Questions

I have four stays in the next few weeks on never ending weekend rates. These rates give you a "$50/night credit towards your next Marriott stay". Does anyone know if:

(1) Do you receive the coupons upon checkout or are they mailed to you?

(2) Can you use a coupon while earning a second coupon?

Thanks,
Greg

On check-out last weekend they gave me the certificate.

I plan on finding out this weekend if I can use the cert while earning another.

You are supposed to receive these certificates upon check-in (according to the Terms of the promotion). I have been handed these automatically at check-in except at the New York Marriott Eastside where I have had to ask for them each and every time. Once the front desk manager didn't even have them but they were delivered the following morning. Keep in mind that you can get upto $100 in these for a stay (2 nights or more). If you have to ask for them, then refer to them as "Bonus Bucks" as the employees I have interacted with so far seemed to be clueless when I said certificate, cash, voucher, etc but immediately understood when I mentioned Bonus Bucks.

Thanks Gentlemen. Perhaps Socrates can reply with the answer to whether you can use a previously earned certificate while earning a new one.

Thanks,
Greg

Missed that question. Yes, you can do that. I have done it on every stay (provided I had a Bonus Buck) except my first one (where I earned one), but used another type of a Bonus Buck on that stay as well. I have found the hotels to not even blink when you present these Bonus Bucks... my guess is they get that amount from Marriott.

I believe you guys/gals are referring to the regional promotion going currently in the eastern regions of the country and unfortunately since this is a regional promotion I don't have any information on it (the region I'm in is not participating in it)

Ahh..did a quick search and came up with the info...it is a MidAtlantic Regional promotion (looks like maybe only MD hotels?) Here's the details

Introducing the Never-Ending Getaway! For a limited time, get great rates PLUS a generous rebate for a future stay at any Marriott or Renaissance Hotel. Stay one night and get a $50 Bonus Buck or stay two nights and get a $100 Bonus Buck! Sound too good to be true? Believe itbut book quickly before it's gone. If you would like to book via phone, call 1-800-228-9290 and reference cluster code N8R.

Rates are per room, per night. Rates subject to availability at time of reservation. Rates are available on dates listed at participating hotels until July 6, 2003. Blackout dates may apply. Friday or Saturday stayover or length of stay restrictions may be required. Earn one Bonus Buck of $50 per night stay. Maximum $100 Bonus Buck issued per weekend stay. Bonus Buck voucher can only be used for subsequent 2-night stay. Must book promotion code N8R. Cannot be combined with any other promotional offers. Other restrictions and fees may apply

So I would say as long as you are booked at the n8r rate you can use a certificate while earning another.

I'm not sure exactly how we're funding "Bonus Bucks" but nothing we ever do is funded at face value

There are two types of certs. One is $100 the other is $50. I was given the $100 at one time and 2 $50s on the other. The $100 is only good at full service Marriott but the $50 is good at all Marriott brand.
