Marriott Dinner for 2 Reward

Has anyone redeemed this Marriot reward (code 390) for 20,000 points? Is it worth it? What are the restrictions?
Thanks in advance.

It would if you used it at the Del Mar Aterre restaurant.
It is one of eight best restaurnats in So Calif! I read about it in ANGELENO magazine, I picked up at the Hollywood Renaissance, last weekend!
I have looked at the menu several times, but will now take a drive there, soon! It is in the extended neighborhood!

I'm planning on using it at the Chancery Court in London. I don't know if 20,000 points is worth spending there for dinner (for 2)or am I better off just paying for it in cash.

A lot depends on how you would otherwise use your points. For example, if you would normally save your points as I do for one of the air-hotel packages, the value per point can be somewhere between one and two cents per point, depending on your trip, class of air service and choice of hotels.

At one cent per point, that would value your 20K award at $200. Would the dinner really cost $200, excluding alcoholic beverages, which aren't included with the award? If so, the dinner award might be good deal. Or if you would normally exchange your points for some other award where you would value the points at something less than what you figure the value is for your dinner, it's a good deal.

Only you can decide.

Well, it doesn't sound like it's worth redeeming 20,000 points for the Free dinner certificate. I'll just save my points for a future hotel stay then. Thanks a lot to everyone who responded.

I understand that the Chef found the organic growers the first thing he arrived in San Diego.
