Welcome gift @ Fairfields ?
At my last 4 different Fairfield properties I have had personal notes from the GM thanking me for my business and leaving behind a bag of goodies (bottle of water, candies, chips, etc).

I am glad they are doing that if this is true.
They are attempting to compete with Hilton and its Hampton Inn properties.
Fairfield Inns are usually less expensive than Hampton Inns. This will give Fairfield Inn the edge over Hampton Inns.

I got the goodie bag recently, but they said it was for being chosen "guest of the day". I don't remember what I did to get that... pretty sure it was random.
