Where's double night/points???

Not that I do not appreciate the stay XXX times and get Cat. 4 weekend certs...but isn't there ANYTHING else that Marriott wants to do to encourage us to stay with them. It has been over a year since there has been any double/double type promo. What's worse is that they run these Cat. 4 promos for 4 months at a stretch. I can finish those promos in a month...what keeps me coming back. Not always the service...stay at the Rocky Hill Marriott in CT and you'll know fist hand what I am talking about. One of the worst experience I've ever had.

I hate to jump to Hilton, but at least they recently offered to dump the airmile bonus and allow an extra %50 points instead.

Now that's a PROMO.

I've stayed there 3 times (always on weekends) and always enjoyed the property.

I agree, there's been little fire or creativity in Marriott's recent promotions. It has been a long time since any double/doubles (points/nights), and what happened to the challenges which, hithterto, seemed yearly? Remember; stay x times in x days, and receive xx000 miles? Meanwhile Starwood and Hilton are bubbling with promotions. C'mon Marriott!
