reward certificates
If I book a reservation with a certificate for a free night from the summer promotion and then decide to cancel the reservation, will I be able to use that certificate for something else, or is it gone?

cert would expire long after the reservations would be. Reservations would be for January 2013, certs don't expire until 9-13

you're fine, they go back into your account if you cancel.

If the certificate terms are the same as last year, your stay has to be completed before the certificate expires.
