Just curious, paradocs, but doesn't a MyPoints to HHonors transfer [1:1] represent better value?

Afrugal, I do think my points to Hilton is better value. It is also less hassle. In the past when I would ask to redeem for Marriott point certs it would take months to complete the conversion. It involved waiting for mypoints to snail mail certs and then my mailing them back to Marriott.
To avoid that hassle I started doing the electronic transfers to Hilton. It was effortless and took one week for the points to show up at Hilton. Lately, the transfer is taking a little more time.
I just wanted to give anyone on the Marriott board a heads up about this way to use Amtrak to cheaply earn mypoints. It seems that the cheap loophole has been shut down.
Apparently there is not much interest on the Marriott board for mypoints. However, if anyone is participating I would suggest going to the SPAM board to see how to earn 800 mypoints for spending $1.00 with Tupperware.
