Marriott at IAH

In the first week of february, I attend a 3 day seminar at the Marriott at IAH (Houston Intercontinental). The most obvious hotel to stay in is of course the Marriott. But I am a bit worried about noise of the airport. Has anyone experience : is the acoustic insulation sufficient ?

Thanks,

I have been there twice and the noise did not bother me. You do hear planes but it's not that load. FYI, the hotel is convenient to the airport but nothing to brag about. My rooms were in just OK condition and the last time I went through 3 rooms at 11pm before I could get settled. First they put me in a room that was occupied, second they put me in a room that was not cleaned.

I have stayed there many times for various meetings. I agree that the rooms are nothing special but if you get a room that is not over the roadway they are unusually quiet for an airport property.

I think it is the easiest to get to (use the people mover in the basement) and you never have to go outside if you don't want to.
