Marriott Points to Miles Redemption?

Marriott Points to Miles Redemption?
I am looking to redeem 30k points for 10k AA miles (Redemption code 790). From what I can tell it is not an automated process.
Does anyone have any experience redeeming Marriott Points to AA Miles?
Do they send out a certificate with the your FF info on it? Or is it just a blank 10k mile certificate?
I am considering doing this to boost my wifes AA account for an AA award redemption. However the 30k points are in my Marriott account.
Any thoughts?

You can do your transfer online on their website. You get an email back almost immediately and, at least for US and AA, the miles post within a few days. They say it takes two weeks, but doesn't. Even when mine (once) didn't transfer and they failed to get me to pay to "expedite", the miles posted the next day. They obviously can do this almost instantly on the phone as well.

Anyone have experience with NW transfers? I did mine weeks ago and nothing has happened, other than the points being deducted from my Marriott rewards account.
